Excellent value-oriented choice in central Hanoi. Nice room, reasonable city view, great staff, excellent breakfast, excellent location and perfect for a quick few days in Hanoi. Value is terrific. This not a "seven-star resort" and doesn't advertise itself as such, which is most appreciated. It IS a great place that is appropriately, even under-, priced. Recommended.

Great small hotel that is near the lake in the old city. Rooms are very nice. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. The staff is so attentive. If sitting in the lobby and waiting for someone you are served water, Doors are opened for you. English is spoken. We love the Hanoi Happy Hotel.

Loved Hanoi Happy Hotel. Thoughtful staff, near Hoan Kien Lake and Old Quarter. Staff very attentive. Rooms not big but big enough for comfort for 2 people. We would stay again. They made us very happy.

Best thing is the bell boy refused a tip because the hotel forbids it. I'd rather pay more than guess at the going rate of tips. Small room but expected for 3 *, friendly and helpful staff. Part of bathroom tiles broke off but they sent in cleaner immediately. Breakfast was very good and they had prepared my vegetarian food.... More
