All in all thanh guesthouse is a great place to spend a few nights which exploring HCM. Hidden down a side street in the lovely Pham Ngu Laos district it offers quiet rooms in the middle of the mayhem. Our double room was large and came equipped with air con,tv and a fridge for a very reasonable price. When a... More

Great value, amazing location right on the main back packers strip but just tucked away so it wasn't noisy at night. The staff were so friendly all the time. The beds were comfortable and clean and our air conditioning was really good. We had a decent tv and fridge in our room too, it was so much more than what... More

My girlfriend and I stayed 2 nights in a double room on the second floor. We booked the room online and paid $17 per night which is way overpriced. The room was new and relatively clean but way too small. We're not looking for big rooms but with our 2 backpacks there wasn't much floor space left. The wet room... More

We stayed at this guesthouse for 6 days in January 2013. The guesthouse is a little hard to find, being down a side alleyway but i think most in the backpacker area of Bui Vien are. Don't be confused by the fact that there is a Thanh Guesthouse across the alleyway from this guesthouses address, they are part of the... More

We stayed here for a few nights on Oct 2012 and had a great stay. Our room was USD14/night. One can easily find cheaper rooms nearby but we liked this place because it was (relatively) quiet, family-run, very clean, and had big rooms. Some reviews spoke of small rooms not having windows. Our room was large and we had very... More

Very good place to stay. The location is really good and the staff, especially the woman, is very friendly. The room we stayed in was on the small side, but I guess that is to be expected in a big city as Saigon. Nevertheless, we had a small balcony. Also, there is wifi in the rooms. I would definitely recommend... More

This has two different locations but they are very close by (number two is just around the corner). It is down a small off the main street. The rooms here are very small but does the job. Nicely decorated, air con, wi fi, tv. The bathroom is the smallest i have ever experienced! There is a balcony too but it... More

The room was tiny, the balcony was only just big enough so that the door could open and the bathroom was the size of a shower cubical. The room was well maintained and seemed clean apart from the cockroach in the bathroom when we arrived (which the owner got rid of for us and we didn't see any more) We... More

We stayed 3 nights at Thanh Guesthouse. Very nice, clean and reliable. They are down one of the alleys along Bui Vien, so you need to look for it, as a taxi will drop you at the head of the alley. No problems with our HostelBookers reservation (USD$15 per night). They have 3 houses around an alley intersection, so don't... More

The location is great but the staff is not so great. They are not sympathetic and don't speak proper English. It also can be very noisy. The room was clean.
