The hotel is on a quiet side street in downtown Phnom Penh. We originally booked a budget room but changed immediately for one with a private balcony. The budget rooms are too tiny for 2 people to maneuver or dress. The next rooms up whether poolside or second level are very spacious and well worth the few extra dollars. The... More

Aside from PP being bloody hot, this was the best holiday i've had in a while. if you're expecting 5 star hotel and all that, you are sorely misled. What this place offers, is a very quiet and serene environment for relaxing in a pretty busy area of the city. With the riverside 5 blocks away it could be a... More

The hotel service was satisfactory, but it wasnt the best that we have encountered. I love the bedsheets! silk materials, very soft and smooth, good for sleep haha! But, i was not so satisfied with the breakfast, as each of us could only order 1 set of breakfast which for me was not filling enough! haha. Better to bring your... More

We stayed as a family of five at the beginning of April and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The staff were friendly, especially Mr Sona and spoke reasonable English. We paid $80 per night for one room that fit all of us - one large bed, two day beds made up to beds and an extra brought in. All the beds... More

Good hotel - it's well-located close to the Central Market and not too far from the riverfront and its various attractions. The breakfast was okay and we didn't eat any other meals at the hotel. The pool was great and was a really nice way to cool off after a day traipsing 'round the capital. The rooms were alright -... More

Our stay at The Billabong Hotel was good and bad: The Bad: First of all make sure to check their website out and read about the bathroom before booking. We booked through Expedia and bathroom was listed as shower. What we got was a "wet floor" bathroom. This means the water guess everywhere in the bathroom which wouldn't have been... More

We stayed here in March for 3 nights. The Aussie owner Larry was obliging. The family rooms were spacious and clean and the pool a nice retreat after a day of sightseeing. The $2 cocktail specials each day were also a great way to unwind and the breakfast was okay. I don't really recommend the food here which is not... More

Nice hotel: clean rooms, friendly staff, good location, very nice pool with poolbar with decent priced coctails and food. Would definitely go there again! One of the best things to do in PP were the Killingfields and the Genoside Museum, although I had thought I wouldn't want to go there. Especially the fields are a rough thing to do, the... More

Nice hotel with helpful staff small rooms but functional. Breakfast included with a good selection and very relaxing by the pool. Central to markets and activities. Walking distance most of the time. Once your back at the hotel you would never know the city is out there. Would definitely stay again.

Half of this hotel is quite outdated, cramped, and not very well kept up, but the newer portion is spacious and luxurious.... so be sure to ask for a room in that area. The swimming pool provides a refreshing break from the hot day, and breakfast (while slowly prepared) offers many delicious choices.
