The Lao Youth Inn is just aacross the Wat Mixay (Temple) in the tourist area of Vientiane, close to the waterfront. location is fine, sheets were clean but service is pretty poor, sleepy quality (we could here guests in next room and hall) pretty crappy and my shoes were stolen from the lobby, i would stay somewhere else next time. price was cheap but for $3 more you can stay next door and looked much better. The only nice thing about this hostel is the staff are friendly and even though they had just closed the cafe, when I asked to buy some water they went out of there way to get be a big bottle and insisted it was free. You couldn't really ask for a better location if you're on a budget! 60.000kip for a double with en suite and literally just off the riverfront.. Rooms are adequate, staff didn't speak much English though. Wifi barely worked, but otherwise not a half bad choice. More
