What a shame Vientianne has been over-run by bed bugs!! The father and son that run this guesthouse are really nice people but they have a huge infestation of Bed bugs, I got eaten alive the night Gadafi was murdered!! What traumatising stuff!! After much googling at the internet shop it was decided to move into the Mali Namphu, I... More

This guesthouse is one of the cheapest accommodation we have seen in Vientiane. The first room (2nd Flr) that we stayed for 3 days was amazing. Large, spacious rooms, cable TV, A/C and balcony. We extended our stay for another week. This is when the horror started. They transferred us on the 3rd flr... Same room size, bigger cabinets actually,... More

My wife and I recently returned from Laos, what an interesting place. We stayed there awhile back. I read some of the reviews for Phonepaseuth Guesthouse about being dirty and we did not experience this. We stayed several days, the location was great for us, it is right near a fountain and circle with many great restaurants and a small... More

The location is great and the service friendly. I was a guest for 3 nights and my body is covered with bedbug bites. I am still taking antihistamine medication to control the itching. Identified the bites. I always use a plug in mosquito fumer. Showed my bites to the Manager and he moved me to a different room. I Talked... More

After arriving in Vientiane a tuk tuk driver dropped us off here, what can I say a serious mistake! The place was grimy, unclean, and infested with bed bugs. The sheets and towells were dirty looked like they hadn't been changed and no hot water! We had just unpacked when we discovered the little nasties in the beds we were... More

It's good that I saw the bed bugs before I stayed the night there! Rooms wer dark and grotty, no window! We had to ask for clean sheets as it looked as though the beds hadn't even been changed but turned out they were just as bad covered in stains! When I approached reception about the bed bugs they didn't... More

It's 2.30am and we have been woken by bad bugs at the Phonepaseuth Guest House. What can I say? All else is OK. A/C, hot shower, cable tv, wifi, fridge - but the bed bugs are unforgiveable. Reading some on-line reviews, this place has had them for a while - I should have checked. We will be moving to another... More

We arrived in Vietiane and found this hotel to be clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The room we had was large with a nice view. I enjoyed people watching at the front of the hotel. It is close to the center of town and there are many things to walk to nearby. The manager during the day speaks english... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night when we arrived in Vientiane without a hotel booking and could not find anywhere to stay. The room was dingy with a window that was bricked up and the bathroom was grimy with mould stains on the shower curtain. The entire room smelled like a urinal cake. Worst of... More

Our room at 14 US dollars had no window, and it smelled so bad of anti-bug-spray that we could not be in the room for hours. On each floor there is 4 rooms: one really nice with windows and a balcony, and 3 others without windows. We found much nicer rooms 300 meters further up the street. More
