There is not much to fault about this hotel, the place has clean rooms, friendly staff working at the front desk and the location is good. Actually planned to stay here a few nights, until an incident with the manager caused me to cancel after 1 night. I was coming to this hotel from another 1 in Vientiane because a... More

I stayed at this guesthouse for the first time for two nights on March 11/12th, 2012 after doing some internet research and I was not disappointed. I have stayed in Vientiane several times before at various hotels/guesthouses over the last five years and the Vayakorn beats the lot of them hands down. As others have said, the building is lovely... More

I have been staying at the Vayakorn almost annually since 2005. The hotel is in a lovely old building with teak interior and traditional decor. The staff is always attentive and the rooms are always very clean and comfortable. I stay in a single room, and the room is big enough and has a nice, spacious bathroom with hot water... More

We stayed in the Vayakorn Guest Hourse for one night before touring through Laos. The architecture and high quality wooden furniture make it generally a nice place to stay. Also, it is clean and the staff was quite friendly. However, we were not very lucky with our room: The windows directly faced the neighbouring house. More

We stayed before in another hotel much more expensive than this guesthouse and sincerelly we prefered a lot Vayakorn Guesthouse. Our room was always clean, the staff was extremelly nice and friendly! We choose one room in the upper floor with the street view, maybe n. 302 ... a very big and confortable room !! It's nice to see the... More

We booked two rooms here for three days. The price was right -- about $25 per night per room. Rooms included a fridge and a TV, and were clean and bright. One room had a decent view while the other room looked out onto a cement wall a foot away. One bathroom had an excellent water heater, while the other... More

My wife and me stayed four nights in Vayakorn Guesthouse. When we arrived in the evening, after a 12 hour bus trip from Luang Prabang, the reception awaited me with the reservation outstretched in his hand. A pleasuere because in another hotel, where I made a reservation nobody knew anything.I Ihad asked for a room with a view. The manager... More

We booked Vayakorn Inn. They misread our reservation and ended up we had to split to stay in two different places. So they brought me here. They then told me breakfast is up to 9am. When I check out, they said I have to pay for breakfast. I didn't argue and I also won't come here again. More
