Most hotels in UB have beds that are about as comfortable as sleeping on a concrete slab. The Kempinski is a great hotel, excellent gym, good breakfast etc. It is further from the airport than other hotels I've used in UB, but worth it for the bed comfort! Sadly, my company moved offices and now I'm back to sleeping on... More

Second stay at the Kempinski in UB, and I was glad I could get a room there as all my other hotel experiences in UB have been pretty dire. The Junior Suite is definitely big and convenient. Internet speed is way too slow for anything other than mails. Service is quite competent and willing to help. Can't wait to the... More

Dear GGDD Thank you for taking the time to review the Kempinski Khan Palace Hotel. How pleased we were to receive your valued feedback on our hotel services. Regarding the slow internet speed I would like to inform that we already made changes to double the internet speed in the rooms and ensure that the network is stable. GGDD we... More

The hotel is a good business hotel. Clean, good restaurants, very good staff. The gym is a little lacking, but they have treadmills, a bike and an elliptical trainer. The location is a bit far from the centre. The network is poor at the hotel. The speed is acceptable, but the connection keeps being reset making skype calls difficult. More

Not what you expect from kempinski after seeing dead sea property, but, this is a good hotel. Don't open your window if you here in winter the pollution is awful and impregnates your bedding. Leave the windows alone! It's clean, has wifi, is safe, has good quality food and provides a great night sleep in a big comfortable bed. What else... More

On our way out to the Terelj National Park, we flew into UB late at night and needed somewhere to stay for a night. We opted for the Khan Palace (not your usual Kempinski hotel) but it was not bad at all. The hotel (although pretty dated) was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Found the service to be very good indeed and great value given the brand. Certainly they miss a proper lobby bar and a good spa but I can highly recommend the Japaness teppanyaki restaurant on second floor, Front desk are very helpful and can arrange affordable and reliable taxis to get you around the city... The Kempinski is a well-managed, comfortable hotel that is comparable to most international 4-star hotels. It's located a 15-minute walk into downtown (pleasant in the summer, impossible in the winter), which is considered pretty far by UB standards. There's not much of interest nearby and taxis are hard to find in UB, so if you plan to go around town,... More

Stayed here after a horrendous 48 hour non-stop journey from Khovd in a Russian minibus. We turned up at the reception (5 of us) tired and stinking, but no-one batted an eye lid. Reception was staffed by Japanese staff and obviously catered for a largely Japanese client group. Quickly sorted the rooms out - I got a superior single. Wasn't... More

After two nights of nightmare at the Mongolia Hotel coming to Kempinski was like heaven.A bell boy helped with the luggage and the check-in went quickly. The room was more than expected as room standards. What was strange was that this is the first hotel where the bathroom door opens to the outside ! The breakfast was great except that the jam... More

It's a Kempinski, certainly not in quality. Having stayed in several hotels in UB, it is the best om the market. Excellent breakfast, reliable wifi. More
