If you want to experience Hell while you're alive, check-in at Janaki Hotel. 'Expect the unexpected' is their motto. No Water, No Towels, and if you feel cold please wear three layers and go to sleep because they don't provide blankets. A word to the owner : Please shut down the hotel. More

We had stayed in Hotel Janaki from 25th Jan to 27th Jan 2012, this is the worst property I have ever stayed on. Buffet services sucks - they run out of items so fast, there is no room service after 2200 hrs, rooms smell and have ants running here there. The person on the reception is rude and lost in... More

Stayed one night there and regret it. Reception staff was clueless and unfriendly, rooms dirty and smelly...and words can't describe how bad the breakfast was. Also location isn't the best if you want to get a good feel of the capital so save yourself some money and choose another hotel. More

Totally Unclean, unkept and smelly rooms, leaky bathrooms, noisy or non-working A/c broken TV remote......not a place to stay, Restaurant serves horrible food, and was charged LKR500.00 for the free wifi. Changed Rooms three times, but all rooms similar. Breakfast served seemed to be stale. Would NOT RECOMMEND staying at this so called "hotel" for any traveller. More

Stayed at this hotel for a business trip for few days in August 2011. Wouldnt say it to be a great place but ok for business trips where you will be out of the room most of the time. The hotel smelt mold-like and lots of old half broken furniture around the conference room. I particularly didnt like the taste... More

They charged us $95 plus tax. Services against this amount were pathetic. Dirty towels, broken furniture, torn curtains, dirty bathrooms. Worms were floating in the juice served during breakfast. Served stale food in breakfast. The hotel owner is just ripping tourist off. I rented far better hotels in Europe in half price. Surprisingly, this hotel was booked via www.booking.com and... More

I stayed for only two weekend nights and it served its purpose of providing a comfortable bed, a hot shower and a space to relax from the hustle and bustle of Colombo. Pros: The room was better than I thought it would be based upon some other people's reviews, and especially the chaotic concrete filled interior/walkways of the building. Reasonable... More

This hotel was terrible. The room was dirty, all seemed to be a construction site. Furniture, beds, food leftovers etc. everywhere. It's quite far away from the city and the surrounding area was not nice. We felt like in a hostel but in a bad one.. More

This hotel was a delight. The staff were all very helpful and went to extra troubles to arrange things for us like cheaper transport to airport etc. They were also helpful in reccomending places to eat/see on our short trip to Sri Lanka. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot, and clean.... More
