Check in - Reception staff was efficient and had the reservation information on hand Housekeeping staff - They are also good. The room was clean and equipped with their soap and shampoo. Towels OK. Hot water hot, not just warm. Room - Nicely appointed with a good goose neck desk lamp (other, more expensive hotels have few lights/lamps and they... More

The Grand Orzu hotel is perfectly decent, affordable hotel. It is basic, but you get what you pay for. My wife and I stayed in a large suite at the end of the top floor. No lift to take up our luggage but the stairs were wide and quite shallow. We had asked for a double bed but got two... More

Used this hotel as a layover between flights and the “service” they have for pickup at the airport to the hotel with taxi is much more expensive then a normal taxi. The rooms are old and worn down, needs a renovation. The food in the restaurant is ok. I would not live here for a couple of nights, but for... More

Convenient to the Airport, good breakfast, has a swimming pool and good wifi in the rooms. There aren't many restaurants close by except the Caravan and Chelsea Arms. Both are expensive but the Caravan has fantastic live music. Better than a concert. More

I stayed here twice and found it to be a pleasant surprise for my first hotel upon arrival in Uzbekistan. I was prepared for a much lower standard. Having said that, "standard" is highly variable in Uzbekistan. Each hotel we stayed at had rooms of many different sizes, configurations and window views. The rooms at Grand Orzu are highly variable,... More

I actually stayed in Grand Orzu hotel more than 3 times. Every time I was there the staff wasnt helpful at all. I had to ask for toilet roll and towel. They charged me for breakfast. So very bad experience with this hotel. I dont recommend to anybody. They are much more better hotels in Tashkent! More

Had a confirmed booking for this hotel booked via expedia.co.uk. Received a separate email to confirm that ‘the hotel confirmed your booking’ including the hotel confirmation reference number. Five days before the arrival date (after we had already begun our travels) we received an email advising that the hotel cancelled the booking ‘due to official delegation summit’. At that time,... The Grand Orzu was not so grand but fine for passing through. The rooms are tatty but the bathrooms have been refurbished and are to good spec. They were happy enough to keep our bags for us and help with getting taxis etc. Breakfast was pretty lavish but dinner expensive for what it was. The best thing about it was... More

The Grand Orzu is comfortable, clean, with very good, average sized rooms, and pretty good value. The most important aspect of the hotel is the extremely friendly, helpful staff at the reception. For example, because I don't speak Russian, they were very helpful in dealing with taxi drivers (even when I called them from a taxi to help explain to... More

I stayed at this hotel for a few days due to my business trip to Tashkent. I decided to go with a smaller B&B rather than going to the big hotel. While the quality of the hotel as well as the food were fine, the location wasn't the best. They advertised it as "10 minutes from the center" hotel, however... More
