We ended up staying at Cheers Midtown for 14 days while sorting a major logistics issue. Serdar's help, friendliness, and generosity turned the start of a 6 month trip from write off to success. We cant thank him enough. Going beyond the call of a Hotel Managers duty doesn't get close to describing what he will do for his guests.... More

Very clean, excellent location (2 mins from main tram line, 5 mins from fish market, 5 mins from taksim square), great ambiance and wonderful (v helpful) owner. Other guests also v friendly, in contrast to other hostels i have been in. Would highly recommend for both solo travellers and those in groups. Couples' rooms very chic.

This hostel is placed perfectly. Walk up the street to Istiklal street (main shopping street) or down the street to the tram (Blue Mosque etc). Serdar was really friendly and helpful. He's happy to help you with directions, extra towels, blanket, leant us a multi-plug, dropped off and collected our laundry! There is no shared kitchen or free breakfast but... More

The hotel is very conveniently situated between the night lively quarter (foot distance) and the historical part (foot or tram distance). It is very clean though we shared on the same floor a Turkish standard bathroom - Intercontinental Ceylan's ensuite bathroom, where we stayed after, was not perfect to my eyes either -. Our room on the street was confortable... More

My friend and I travelled from Istanbul to Prague, and this was our best hostel. The staff are extremely keen to please - Serdar cooked us dinner for a very small fee on two nights, and was always offering to make Turkish tea and coffee. It was Ramadan while we were there, and Yavus took us out on one of... More

Nice, clean, cheap hostel with friendly and generous staff very willing to give advice or tell you about cool things nearby. Thanks Serdar & Yavus & Emily! Great location, too. Lots of bars and clubs near Taksim Sq--good local small restaurants nearby along with the shops of some really talented artisan craftspeople.

My partner and I booked a private double room in Cheers Midtown on our recent trip to Istanbul in July 2012. The lcoation of the place is awesome and I think one of the best if you want to be colse to hip and trendy Taksim while still having a quiet sleep. The room was very spacious, superclean and had...
