One goes to the King David for its historic associations, its superb position with the Old City view, fine food and comfort, and the wholke "great hotel" experience. All of these one will receive. And yet.....perhaps its reputation now exceeds its cpacity to deliver. The view of the Jaffa Gate from our private balcony was stunning and our room very... More

We lover The King David hotel in Jerusalem not just for it's old world charm and the luxury of the Old City View rooms, but for the helpfulness of the staff at every level. When the pillows were too thick, the housekeeper brought 4 pillows for me to choose from. When I thought I lost a sock, the staff checked... More

Although its well located the King David is seemingly living on its legacy, the service is terrible, the staff amazingly untrained, and the food is edible, but thats about all. One night we sat in the bar for over 30 minutes trying to order, and it wasn't very busy, finally someone came over , asked if we'd like to order,... More

Dear Guest from Bellvue, Washington We were truly upset and surprised to read your comments on the Trip Advisor, considering that the issues mentioned were already addressed and dealt with while you were still at the hotel. Your account of events appears to be a partial repetition of face to face discussion with your friend from the party of four... More

Very very nice hotel! We spent few days there. You can walk to the old city. Room are kind of small, well not so big, but service is great, breakfast buffet is unbelievable and great pool. Another big hotel is in construction now which will give competition to the king david, but the king david will stay different because of... More

So much history, great location, amazing pool, family friendly. Downside? Doors between suite and living area made of glass. So useless if you want to have lights on while the little one sleeps! Food was ok - but not as good as i expected from such an establishment. So four stars... Maybe it deserved 5 - but my expectations were... More

The King David has been a center of life, politics and intrigue in Jerusalem for decades. It has a magnifecent location with a splendid view of the Old City. World leaders are regulars here but it is also a great hotel for a vacation in the Holy Land. The pool is a great place to rest after a busy day... More

I've stayed here several times and continue to like the property. Dining room staff really make you feel at home here. Newly renovated rooms on the 6th floor are very nice but each room is different even though they charge the same rates in a category; room 643 on the corner is really nice and costs the same as room... Jerusalem is a magic city in many ways but the hotels do not meet the highest standards yet. In that respect, King David is a luxury palace with a flavour of the 60-70's. The design is a bit dated, the staff is not always putting attention to details but we shall forgive these as the overall context is definetely charming.... More
