I booked a room through Orbitz for one night, three adults. This was prepaid on my credit card. The hotel is tucked into a corner and is very difficult to locate. The hotel itself is a dump. You need to be "buzzed in" and then walk up a flight of steps. When we arrived, we were informed that our room... More

The hotel is in an excellent location. City center close to the Mahane Yehuda market on one side and close to cafes restaurants and bars on the other. Also close to shopping centers and shops. Hotel clean. Breakfast is OK, but nothing more. Really basic. Price a little expensive.

We chose this hotel based on its location and the location is indeed quite well: you walk approximately 5-10 minutes to the old city and only 15 minutes to the central bus station. The staff is very friendly, but even though we arrived at 5 a.m. already we had to wait till 14.00 for our room. But ok, it was... More

The most appealing aspect of this hotel is the central location. It´s very close to everything that matters in Jerusalem. Ben Yehuda Street, the Old City, Mahane Yehuda Market, it´s all in a walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was ok, with a descent standard. We payed extra for a renovated room, but this was definitely not a renovated room.... More

Like many places in Jerusalem this small hotel is overrated, the desk personal is very friendly and great help with everything, the location is unbeatable, the breakfast is good, however the economic rooms are a shame, don't go if you take one,the renovated room is better but for 100 dollar it is still to expensive,I know it is difficult to find a decent room in... The current state of the Palatin hotel is poor. I don't like saying that; if anyone reads my reviews they'll note that I'm mostly positive. I checked out after only one night. The front desk clerk was very nice. He had my key ready and was willing to help with any necessary travel arrangements. Unfortunately the hotel is in decrepit... More

Our room was small, dusty and in desperate need of an update. Good thing we didn't need to spend much time there. On the upside the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was pretty good. We would probably try a different hotel if we go back to Jerusalem, but not disapointed with our week there.

A tiny, squalid room near Ben Yehuda. No room for luggage in the room. Breakfast included white bread, herring, and watery orange juice. Mold rampant in old shower. Nice staff, but... Raucous noise all night in square below window. Sad experience.

Pros: The location is absolutely fantastic. It is within walking distance to the Old City, and is close to Ben Yehuda street which provides great nightlife. Cons: It was relatively expensive for what we received. The room was not very clean, the shower was exceptionally small and leaked everywhere each time we showered. The air conditioner worked on a motion... More
