You cannot beat this small hotel for location. It is located inside the old city and put EVERYTHING within walking distance. If you are a "Boots on the Ground" kind of adventurer, this is the place to stay! the food is fantastic and you simply MUST eat at "Mose's Resturant" two doors down! We had a super stay for 4 nights in this guest house. The location inside the Jaffa Gate is perfectly convenient to the Old City sites. I loved staying here. We enjoyed the beautiful garden area, the peaceful music that would strain out into the garden and the rooms that were large enough to allow us to stay together. For Christians, this is a beautiful place to stay- it is ideally located in the Old City near Jaffa Gate, has its own historic church and spacious compound where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and safely park your car, and has a wonderful breakfast where you can meet other guests and compare notes.... I agree with previous reviewers that one must come here only after adjusting one’s expectations. I don’t normally stay in these types of accommodations, but wanted to give it a try after seeing the reviews and because of its location. I’m sorry I did, but I may have caught them on an “off” week.
