Room size is average and well equipped with satellite TV but only 35 channels and 4 not functioning, bathrooms are nice and clean and equipped with hair dryers that are noisy. Breakfast is not included and is basic, al-a-carte is available and expensive for what you get, there are conference rooms for large or small functions and a business centre... More

The room was clean and tidy, but small, in a quiet location (10 min by cab to the city center). The hotel is in urgent need of renovation! The furniture are old and look really used making it hard to believe that this is a 4-star hotel. The breakfast costs around $15 and is totally not worth it. The bread... More

The location of the hotel is handy for the airport road but not much use for wandering out to see interesting places. The main tourist areas are a taxi ride away. The rooms were a little faded and the breakfast was nothing special to a UK palate, but the rooms were comfortable enough and the place was clean and staff... More

Over priced old run down hotel in a good location. Rude and unhelpful staff. Needs renovating. Uncomfortable rooms and if you are unlucky you may get a room in the height of summer with no air conditioning controllers and have to rely on the front desk staff to turn it on and off for you - but only if they... Don't be fooled by the exterior view of the building, rooms are outdated style & small. Specially reservation staff were rude.I don't presume that 4 star rating of a hotel has nothing to do with this one. It is not value for money at all. For a city of leisure Beirut, this hotel is a waste of money and mood.... More

Overpriced, far from everything, small rooms and the worst service ever. If you want something done properly then do it yourself seemed to be the motto of the reception/room service team! The only gratifying aspect of the stay has been writing this review. I tried to write while I was there, but baulked at paying 5$/hr for the internet! More

Old fashioned hotel. Very small room. Actually we think that they give us (a couple) a single bedroom as the bed was smaller than queen size. Bed sheets had holes. We booked on an agreed price and when it was time to pay they mention that the agreed price was not taking taxes into account. Staff at restaurant and for... More

Reception staff is rather friendly; The restaurant staff is totally oblivious to customers. The room is old and scruffy; the bed spread is stained and discolored; Terrible pillows; Curtains grey with smoke probably and heavy cigarette smell in the room and the entire floor TV old and hardly working. The worse was the bathroom; Shower screen rusty, moldy and chipped... More

I have stayed at the Alexandre several times over the past few years, always trying to support a local neighbourhood hotel, but on my last trip the service and state of the rooms was absolutely terrible. To say the night staff are rude would be a credit to them and seem to have some scam going where they add on... More
