I stayed at this hotel with some of my colleagues for a period of 5 days and during my entire stay I did not find anything to complain about this place. The location is great. We had booked a suite. It was clean, spacious enough and well maintained. I could get a beautiful view of the outside from our room.... More

The hotel is in a typical old stone house in a good location right in the middle of old Sana'a. The building has been sympathetically converted to a hotel so that it retains a lot of traditional character and rooms have traditional Yemeni furniture made of carved dark wood. On the 7th and 8th floors (there is a lift) there... More

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel very much. Like other visitors, I think the views from the roof are quite wonderful, and the roof, along with the location, is what makes the hotel such a good choice. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The rooms, however, are small, and the bathrooms tiny. The rooms in the suites... More

I stayed at the hotel in April after a friend told me about it. My expectations were not very high. I wanted to stay in a small hotel that was locally owned and would display the most possible way of the Yemeni lifestyle. The hotel has a great location. A small roof bar where you can smoke shisha at night.... More

I booked this hotel because I heard good reputations on trip advisor but it was a good choice indeed! The scene from my hotel room was just beautiful. It's like a dream to see that magnificant view from your room and this hotel has a nice terrace on the top where you can enjoy meals while enjoying the unforgetable scenery.... More

The other reviews have it spot on: the staff is great and eager to make your stay wonderful, the location cannot be beat and the athmosphere is unique. The rooftop restaurant has amazing views and is probably one of the best sunset spots in Sanaa. There are cons but none of them puts the hotel at fault: - water pressure... More

Well... I have chosen this hotel after reading comments on the tripadvisor. Anyway in some aspects it was a mistake. The only good thing one can say about Burj al Salaam is the location- in the center of the Old Town in Sanaa. If I should reccommend this hotel I should remain silence about all other things. First of all-... More

I didnt test out other hotels, but apparently there is not a lot on offer if you want to stay in old Sanaa. It is worth staying in the old town because you get a much better feel for the city. No matter where you stay in the old town you will be woken by the call for prayer -... More

Out of lack of choice, this hotel is the only choice if you want to stay in the Old City of Sana'a. The Pros: -Pleasant staff. -Cool/Oriental looking rooms/building and nice roof top view. The Cons: -Smelly sheets, pillows, and towels. They smelled of a human who had not washed their hair for a while. The hotel could try using... More

We were on our Christmas holidays travelling over the Arabian Peninsula and had the worst nightmare arriving at this place(not a hotel at all) in Sanaa. The rooms were dirty the bathroom was filthy....no one can sleep in a place like that. Got a throat ache because the room was extremely cold.It was not we were expecting from a boutique... More
