We stayed here on our way to Tanna Island and were glad it was only one night. The first disappointment happened when our free airport transfer wasn't at the airport to meet us. We ended up getting our own way by taxi. The location and people were lovely, but the accommodation was very tired, no hot water and parts were... More

We really loved our stay at Tara Beach. The staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful, but they don't pester you and just let you go about enjoying your holiday. The rooms are large and spacious. The cold shower took some getting use to for us, but in the heat and humidity we quickly decided it was a good thing. The... More

What can we say, but tankyiu tumas (thank you very much) to the Vatoko family who run this small resort for making our 3 night stay very memorable. We are a family of 2 adults and 18 & 20 year old "kids".Yes, we had cold showers but who needs hot water when the weather is so beautiful. From the airport... More

We have just returned from 2 weeks in Vanuatu. My 3 daughters were made to feel part of the family at Tara Beach. Lulu and Eric make sure you get a true Vanuatu experience with visit to local school and Village and the girls had friends to swim and play with. Dont miss the Melanesian Feast night on Tuesday- dancing,... More

This place is fantastic, close enough to everything but far enough away to not have to deal with all the crowds from the big cruise ships. The rooms are a good size and each bungalow is separate, metres from the water. Who needs the fancy hotels when you can have a place like this, we didn't even mind the cold... More

This was our third stay at Tara - now like a second home. Eric is to be congratulated for what he has done with the resort. Breakfast is great - fresh fruit (he even found some out of season grape fruit for us), toast, pastries and croissants, and eggs on toast washed down with Tanna coffee. Snorkelling again was a... We stayed for seven days and enjoyed the hospitality and welcoming we received from Erik, Thomas, Christine and Lulu. Would highly recommend this as a private and relaxing place to stay. The owners are like family to us and we miss them all!! Feeding the fish off the wharf was definitely a highlight. A great dive spot and excellent company.... More

I love the reviews by Annette R, Debbie W and Thomas E. They say everything that I've said before about this magic, locally owned resort. My wife (Narelle) and I returned yet again for our first wedding anniversary. The resort Manager, Eric, kept his promise and on the evening of our anniversary, the intimate (just us two) overwater dining room... More

We have just returned from 6 nights at Tara Beach. I had read all the reviews, but it still exceeded my expectations. The bungalows are lovely, and great value for money. We chose it as it is run by locals. Elsewhere on the island we'd only have got a hotel room, maybe with a balcony. It is out of town,... More
