A cheap and correct place to stay. Single at 15 USD double at 24 USD. Clean, but basic services, no freezer, no TV, no laundry. Managers on duty in the evening is really more sympathetic that the one on morning, really business orientated. Good location - 5 mn from Junior Duck's restaurant.

We paid $24 for a double; no breakfast. The lobby is esp. nice with comfortable chairs; I liked that the street was very quiet and green, only a block from much busier streets. Husband and wife are pretty nice. No wifi or restaurant here now.

Mayfair Inn was (relatively) clean, quiet and close to the main sites in downtown Yangon, but don't expect much more. I booked a single room well in advance of arriving in Yangon. Every other guesthouse I've patronised, even *without* pre-booking, has always charged me a single-room price whether or not there were two beds in the room. With Mayfair, this was not the case - they upgraded me from their overpriced single room fee of $15 US to $24 US.... More
