This is a pricey but worthwhile stop if you are in Yangon. Beautiful atmosphere tucked away in the embassy area of Yangon. Although that means it is a bit away from the centre.
The staff were excellent, welcoming, helpful at all times. Rooms lived up to expectations.

A nice welcome after touring Myanmar. The GM handled our guide's attitude quickly while offering welcome along with his staff. I can't recall the name of the gentleman at the front desk,
but he was excellent. As well as everyone encountered. The poor young lady who has to work the roasting gift shop even had a smile.

I suggest you stay at a more reasonably priced hotel ie The Summit Parkview Hotel, and book a 'High tea' at the Governers' in the afternoon.

The Governor's Residence is a delightful hotel and I cannot imagine a better choice in Yangon. We spent two nights there after arrival in Burma. The hotel is not a Ritz-Carlton type 5-star... it is a very Burmese experience, and to our taste the perfect way to arrive in the country.
