Yangon doesn't have the hotel capacity for the influx of travelers so your options are limited. Pan aroma offers you a relatively pleasant experience in a central location (a few blocks from Traders) at a price that is reasonable for Yangon. You will be hard pressed to find better for the same budget dollar. Porters are much more knowledgable about... More

I was here in April and even with a bit of negotiation a double room was $70 a night - massively over-priced for what you get. The room is fine, but not worth the money. Breakfast is pretty poor, and geared towards the Indian people who seem to stay there and is pretty poor vs. other breakfasts I had in... More

Good location provided you have room at rear. The bath/shower leaked so the floor was wet every time you had a shower. When I complained to "housekeeping" I was told it was the builders fault and they were all like that. Limited breakfast offering for the western palate, otherwise didn't eat in the restaurant. Reasonable valu for money. More

I decided to stay here on my last night in Yangon before leaving Burma. It's located in the heart of the city and I thought it would be good for doing some last-minute souvenir shopping. The hotel was really quite average. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious but somewhat old. Not sure why, but I was given a single bed,... More

I stayed at Panorama for 2 weeks in Feb - March 2012. I've been travelling to Burma regularly for over 20 years, and wasn't too worried when my usual accommodation (Sakura Residence) couldn't meet my needs for the full period of my stay. I knew that Rangoon was scattered with hotels and figured I'd have a full week to find... More

I stayed in two different rooms at the Panorama for a total of five nights in February and March 2012. While the hotel could use some updating, my rooms were reasonably quiet, had comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. For the price ($35 per night, one-tenth the price of The Strand) the breakfast was good, and featured Indian food... More

We stayed in the hotel for 2 separate nights on February 2012. The hotel is in a bit commercial area, but 5-10 minutes (very safe) walk brings you to a more lively area. More

Stayed in Panorama from 4th to 7th Feb 2012 paying USD 35 per night for a superior room. Booking was done through http://www.myanmarbravo.com/myanmar-hotels/myanmar-yangon-hotels.html. The good point was no deposit was required and full payment in uSD done at the hotel with a rep from the travel agency. Location of hotel is very good, and my given room facing the back... More
