We arrived in Nairobi early in the morning (2:30AM) and went to the Fairview for a two night stay. The hotel is very safe as it is across the road from the Israeli embassy. It is a guarded complex with lush gardens and truly an oasis in the city. The staff is friendly and the breakfast selection adequate. The rooms... More

Visited Nairobi with family on our way to Masai mara and stayed at FAIRVIEW for 2 nights. Location: well, though it is in the middle of city, yet it feels very far off from all activities. There is not much to do nearby. It is in a high security area as some Embassy (I think ISRAEL). Front desk: no problem.... More

We stayed at the Fairview for the last 2 nights of our Kenya trip in February as I wanted to see some of what Nairobi had to offer while we were there. We only had 1 evening and then a full day as we were leaving for the airport very early in the morning. As a result of this, we... More

Stayed here for 2 nights before departing for Zanzibar- very nice, quiet hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. I stayed here with my husband and 2 kids and only option for us to all stay in one room was one queen bed and pull out couch. Not ideal but they claim that is all they had. Had a great breakfast in... More

I thought the fairview was perfect for a couple night stay. One good thing is that it did not feel like you were in the middle of town even though you were. Overall a very warm and cosy place to stay. More

The staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. GORGEOUS building - full of all mod cons and yet retains an air of history. Wonderful building and grounds. We were only here for one night, which was a shame, as we were busy around Nairobi, so didn't get to spend as much time at the hotel as we'd have... More

We stayed here enroute to the Masai Mara and Serengeti. It was a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. The bathrooms are rather dated, but with hot water so not to worry. Note that the water is hard and it's almost impossible to lather with the little bar of soap they provide. Luckily we brought our own shower gel. The mattress... More

Having stayed her twice, once in '11 and now in April '12, I think this place is fabulous. Great country ambiance despite being centrally located in city. Excellent service in all areas, good food, very nice (and spotlessly clean) rooms, gorgeous gardens and as you may know, very tight security. Forget the big business hotels. This is the place to... Beautiful hotel surprisingly right in the middle of the city. We loved the open air feeling, the terrific service and the good food. We stayed at a much more expensive place in Karen after the Fairview and didn't enjoy it nearly as much. More
