This place is truly amazing. We have stayed in many places in Africa and tried to be one with nature but nowhere else you will get it more than here. The Banda's are open and the staff is great. Fantastic food (even as we have difficult dietary requirements), fresh from the sea. We went snorkelling at places where I had... More

We came here after fours days on safari, when flying into Kiwayu you can instantly see it's isolation. With the "resort" spread along the edge of a beautiful beach, if you are looking for somewhere to kick off your shoes, read a book, eat fresh seafood and swim, the this is the place for you. The rooms are individual bandas... More

We love this place and are going back again in January. We have been all over the world but we always bring up Kiwayu again and again. We love it! The is raw beach... there are miles and miles and miles of it... ALMOST all to your self... and the food is awesome and not fussy. The exceptional pasta offered... More

Kiwayu really is an unspopilt paradise. Having travelled extensively throughtout Kenya I can safley say this is the place to stay. The incredible setting, food and service along with stunning rooms set along miles of private beach makes Kiwayu Safari Village unbeatable. It appeals to all with a huge variety of activities arranged by the lodge from picnic lunches on... More

What an incredible place - Kiwayu is like nothing else - a small slice of heaven. I have been to several places in Kenya, but nothing quite matches the beauty of Kiwayu, and Kiwayu Safari Village is defiantly the place to stay. The staff are very friendly, the service brilliant and the food was incredible - the best I have... More

Visited in August 2010 with two teenage boys. There are literaly miles of light sand beaches cared for by the staff and villagers and our bandu was right on the water's edge ( as are the others). The scale of the lagoons vs the number of guests means that you are always only minutes away from total privacy if that... More

Many a hotel and resort exist on the east coast of Kenya, and having stayed in a few, the quality of them varies from okay to fair to bad to worse. None have met our expectations especially considering the price that many charge. But then we heard about Kiwayu and decided to try it out. Firstly, Kiwayu is not for... More

The other reviews say it all. This is heaven in so many different ways. The remoteness, the sense of isolation and the unbearably beautiful surroundings all provide the back drop to a completely relaxing holiday. I first visited this camp in 1989, and it says a great deal for the hotel and its management that some of those working there... More

Kiwayu (www.kiwayu.com) is family owned and feels very much like a home from home albeit in tropical surroundings. Service is relaxed but very efficient and the staff absolutely charming. Rooms called Bandas are airy and tastefully decorated with Batik cushions, day beds, hammock and a huge double four poster bed overlooking the bay and open to sea breezes, crabs and... More

Kiwayu! You catch a glimpse of the paradise that awaits you as come into land on their private airstrip. First you see rows of white breakers along unspoilt beaches, where you can stroll for hours rarely seeing a single sole and ride the waves on boogey boards. Waves also break on the cliffs of coral islands, and as a regular... More
