If you want the magic of Africa then this is the place to come! Porini Lion camp was the last stop on our safari. We were very excited to spot beautiful female leopard, the last of our Big Five sightings.. This was thanks to our wonderful guides Steven and John Mark. The camp has easy access to the beautiful Masai... More

Wow! This was our final camp in a 6 night porini safari and we kept thinking how could this get any better?then we arrived at lion camp and we were blown away. Minutes after landing at the airstrip we saw 5 male lions guarding a hippo kill, that night we saw 4 cheetahs and a leopard and her cub, all... More

A nice traditional tented camp if that is what you are looking for. We loved some things and were not impressed with others. The wildlife is spectacular. Great photographing. As good if not better than the Mara Triangle where we have also visited on the other side of the Mara River. The drivers try hard to please and are knowledgeable.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in late 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The safari experience in the conservancy and the Masai Mara was amazing. The massive advantage of the conservancy is the lack of other camps in the area meaning you have more freedom (as opposed to the Masai Mara when it can occasionally, despite it's size, feel slightly... My husband, two children (15 and 9) and I recently visited Kenya for the first time. We booked our Safari experience with Game Watchers Safari - Porini Lion Camp in the Mara through some friends who recommended it. What an exceptional time we had, from the moment you arrive at the camp, you are greeted with the warm smiles of... More

The Porini Lion Camp truly was what we expected and SO much more in our ideal safari experience. This was my family's first time in Africa and therefore in the Masai Mara, and words cant even describe how fantastic the service and the game drives were. Everyday the staff would bring us a nice tray of coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the... More

If you are looking for the traditional simple tent safaeri then this camp is ok. Great wildlife viewing. Good food but not luxurious but ok if in the bush. Game drives enjoyable. But didnt like the group meals in same seating table and not thrilled about the bucket showers. If you are looking for a Karen Blixen style safari then... More

In the fall, I joined a group of four photographers with renowned South African photographer, David Rogers, for what turned out to be a safari of epic proportions. Thanks to the exceptional driver, Big John, and watchful eye of our guide, Joseph, we saw all of the Big Five in one day. It was an incredible experience. The manager of... More

Game Watchers is a world class safari experience. From the introduction at their headquarters in Nairobi until the return to Wilson airport it couldn't have been better. We have travelled extensively throughout Kenya and overlanded ourselves through East Africa and normally do not write reviews. However, we felt from our recent trip to the Porini Lion Camp in the Maasai... More

Words cannot describe the beauty and magic of a visit to the Mara, and the Olare Orok Conservancy. What I can tell you is that staying at the Porini Lion Camp in the Conservancy is what makes this experience an authentic and special one. The tents are spacious and comfortable, fully furnished, and have a large bathroom with a flushing... More
