This hostel is located very near to lama temple and the environment sets an interesting vibe. As you scroll down the street, you will see fortune tellers that will tug your clothes to seek their service, observe people buying incense and items for prayers. We are really glad that the red lights that formed the hai inn text was hung... More

The hostel is ideally located to go and visit Beijing. Great bar to have a few drinks and meet new people after a day exploring Beijing. Rooms are good, although the bed was a bit hard. Bathroom is ok, but don't expect any luxury. If you are looking for an affordable place in Beijing where you can have a lot... More

Great location, close to the subway and the Lama Temple,Not far from ghost street, and close to many friendly and affordable restaurants. The rooms were quite warm, very important when travelng in January. On the down side, the bathroom was smelly, and full of mold. The walls are paper thin and the pool table close to the room don't help More

First off, let me be very clear and state that the Candy Inn (formerly the 1 Hai Inn) is not a hotel. It is a hostel, plain and simple. For those of you looking for a hotel or hotel like amenities, you will not find an overwhelming amount of them here as this lodging is geared specifically towards the international... More

Nice hotel with very usefull employees at the reception. Every time I needed any information someone was there to help me. The only weird thing was the "free beer" ticket they gave me when I arrived. At the bar, the barman allowed me only to order a soft drink, but anyway the hotel is very nice. If I come back... More

Very good location, 2 minutes walk from Lama Temple and 10 from the nearest subway station. The staff is pretty friendly and speaks a good english. Our room was basic but clean. The bathroom had glass walls, nearly transparent, and the shower had no courtain... There were amenities like toothbrush, shower gel and shampoo, but the towels were changed only... More

Candy Inn is located in a hutong (small street) and it has two floors. Rooms are quite good and clean. However, the staff was not so polite. I stayed there for two weeks and prices suddenly changed from 30yuan to 45yuan per night (for a place in a 6-people room). Moreover, the room, which was supposed to be a female... More

For me the best thing about the Candy in (formerly Hai Inn and better recognizable as such from the huge light sign) is its location. A less than 5min walk takes you to the Lama Temple and Confucis Temple, and the Lama Temple Metro Station. From that station its one stop by line 2 to the Dongzhimen long distans bus... More
