We stayed for a week at Grand Hotel Beijing and found it to be disappointing overall. The hotel is outdated, the rooms smell heavily of smoke and the breakfast is terrible for a 5 star hotel. The airconditioning was ineffective so the room was always too hot. On the plus points however, we has a very special view of Tiananmen... More

I stayed just one night at the Grand Hotel Beijing but I must admit that there are some better 4* hotels in Beijing than this 5* one. There was nothing but, but something was missing. It's a very good, professional hotel with a view of a Forbidden City but probably you might choose something better. Nice sauna and a small... More

Easy to find if you give the taxi driver a map and the address in chinese do your preparation before go I did not find any taxi driver that spoke English while I was in Beijing. This hotel is 5 minutes walk from Tianamen Square I chose this hotel for this reason(to see the flag raising ceremony as it would... More

The best thing about this hotel is it's location in Beijing. The layout is a bit strange, the lobby is super small, the court yard is super big, and the room size is average. As a western visitor, I found it to be like most China hotels, outdated, limited breakfast choices, hard beds, and friendly staff. This hotel is connected... More

I've stayed at this hotel ever since I was 10 years old. Originally from Beijing, my family moved to the United States. We would visit every summer for one month and this was the hotel we stayed at for 15 years in a row. In the years that I've stayed here, I don't remember the decor changing that much in... More

The hotel is just the normal standard large hotel tou get anywhere. We had a Garden View Suite, but to our surprise the view was of the greenary in the attrium. It was an inside room. The service was the standard impersonal service that one gets in a large modern hotel but adiqate. The main reason for staying at this... More

I chose this hotel because it had rooms overlooking the Forbidden City. Our room had that view, but if the city is blanketed with smog (as it often is) there's not much to see anyway. Our room had dated furnishings, but that's not a deal breaker. We were there in late September and Beijing was still rather warm. Our air-conditioning... More

While not as luxurious as other hotels the views from the room make up for it. The concierge was helpful in arranging private transportation to various tourist sites. The restaurant is decent also has great views. I recommend even people not staying in the hotel try the restaurant. More

Grand Hotel Beijing in the capital of China can boast of great location – next to Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. It’s the centre of the city with lots of fashionable boutiques and restaurants nearby. Our room was really spacious: a huge lounge and a bedroom with a king-size bed. Chinese hotels supply visitors with all amenities, including toothbrush and... More
