“An Old Lady”

This hotel was managed by Holiday Inn for over 15 years, and you can still see some Holiday Inn training and quality in the Hotel, however this is a very tired and old hotel. This hotel is great if you want to experience the real Beijing. You do need to catch a short bus ride and the subway to get to the centre of Beijing, but who can complain about 35 cents for each fair. Fifteen years ago the Holiday Inn Lido was an expat center, one of the most popular spots in Beijing. Many businesses catering to foreigners were located in the neighborhood and it was a nice, fun place to stay. Much has changed. Holiday Inn sold to Metropark. Rooms are worn. “Two night stay in Beijing”

This was the first hotel we ever stayed in China - part of a 17 day adoption trip for us near the end of 2012. The hotel's lobby is nice, and the morning breakfast buffet is superb! The rooms we standard, which was what we expected.
