A very discreet hotel in the heart of Beijing, with a very classy reception. The rooms are small but comfortable, but the bathroom was a little dated, with cracks in the tiles and on the walls. The minibar was empty and there wasn't any information or a room service menu in the room. However, the buffet breakfast was fantastic, offering... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 12 nights. Every staff member was helpful, cordial and friendly. The managers, Jeraldine and Jeffrey were great. The buffet breakfast was very nice. Eggs made to order!! It was wonderful having access to a gourmet food court through the 5th floor at the New World Shopping Center. ATM machines right across... More

This is a very good hotel. As mentioned in previous reviews; good location with large a range of shops and eating places nearby. The lobby / dining area has been recently renovated and it has a boutique up-market atmosphere; modern / cool design. The shopping centre next door can be directly accessed via the 5th floor of the hotel and... More

Stayed 8 nights here during our visit to Beijing. The hotel lobby was undergoing renovation during our stay here, so I couldn't comment too much on the amenities. Our deluxe twin room itself is spacious even with an extra bed. Comfortable bed with no complains. They serve daily buffet breakfast, but lacking in term of choices. They have not changed... More

This was a very nice, clean hotel. Rooms were spacious, well maintained and comfortable. The continental breakfast was better than any hotel I've ever been to. Lots of selection. The hotel is situated in the middle of a major shopping district. Lots to see and do within walking distance of the hotel. Great place! More

Stayed there because it's 100m from my office. This used to be a Marriott Courtyard, but becoming outdated with tacky deco in common areas, it was taken over by a local brand. Most of the negative comments I could write all relates to the current renovation going on... After it's completed it will look great. Common area are terrible but... More

This hotel seems to still be in the process of being renovated but the room we stayed in was perfect ! Fairly spacious, modern and clean. Hotel is in a great location with shopping just around the corner and great restaurants also within easy walking distance. Very well priced - we paid $540 for 6 nights in a twin room... More

The rooms were a little dated and the beds a little hard for my comfort but overall it was ok; it is an older hotel and a renovation is in order but it was clean and the staff was friendly and spoke good English. The breakfast buffet was included with our rate an the hotel had a good selection of... More

I was shocked to find this hotel rebranded as Penta Hotel. When it was still called The Courtyard @ Marriott, Chongwenmen, there were several not-so good reviews. However, my stay at the Penta, when it was still under Marriott, was quite lovely, although, there were some minor glitches that happened. I am reproducing my blog post about this hotel, here,...
