Was a bit worried about this hotel after reading some of the reviews. It's a bit tired and small but it's clean and so close to everything. It's a short walk to Forbidden City, Tianamen Square, Metro stations and a bunch of great food. Really couldn't beat it for the price for it's location. The staff were able to book... More

Think about this, you've been travelling for about 18 hours, you are tired , smelly hungry and you just want to get to your hotel and you get there "easily" ( after hours of trying to get a cab and getting it to understand where are you going, cause no taxi driver speaks english). You are at the front desk... More

Had booked this property online before visiting China. The trip advisors and people I spoke to assured that a 3-star property in China is equivalent to a 4-star or 5-star property in India...IT'S NOT (if this place was an indicator). The rooms are vey tiny, wall paints keep falling and tiles in the room and bathroom are broken. And for... More

I only stayed here for one night and for one night it's bearable but I wouldn't want to stay here a week. The rooms are tiny for a start and the bed is hard. The bathroom is dirty and they are stingy with the toilet paper. The walls are quite thin and you can pretty much hear the next room... More

Extremely short walking distance to Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City , then two blocks opposite direction to all of the best street food stalls , shopping districts etc. Hotel does not necessarily have showers but a hand held on the bath , Buy extra toilet paper or ask for more, otherwise one can not complain . Ching-Pavilion restaurant back... More

I stayed at the Tang Yue hotel from 6th - 9th Nov'10. We had made my bookings through the internet and had payed in advance (two rooms, no window). We reached early at about 10, but they managed to give us the rooms early. The rooms are extremely old and dirty. Upon entering in my room, I realized that the... More

In our 18 months backpacking through Asia and the Middle East, this was probably the "funkiest" place we stayed. It was a bit out of our price range but we loved the look of it so much we stayed anyway. The rooms are well thought out and have everything you could need (free broadband internet, coffee maker, flat screen TV,... More

When we arrived, our room looked as if someone had been staying there already i.e. unmade beds, things on the counter, etc. Staff speaks little English so it's hard to get a point across or ask questions. No elevator so lifting your bags up a staircase is no fun. Extremely overpriced but we stayed during the Olympics and the prices... More
