This hotel sits right on top of a hill that overlooks the river and downtown Chongqing. The view from the hotel restaurant is nice. The lobby is huge while the rooms are spacious and clean. Skip the hotel breakfast and head out to the food stands less than 5 mins walk away...much better food and 99% cheaper than the continental... More

This hotel is a typical Holiday Inn although some hotels of this chain in China are quite better. However at 390 rmb per night including breakfast and free internet, this is quite a deal. The bed was comfortable and not too hard but the towels a little thin. The choices at the breakfast buffet were adequate. he hotel location is... More

Lovely hotel, had a really good feel to it - nice rooms, very spacious, my room was quite high up & had a view - although as I was only there one night I got up in the morning to the mist & fog and could just make out the Yangtse below! One night here to see the town, Pandas... More

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Absolutely no problem whatsoever. Housekeeping was excellent, food very good, and the hotel staff very pleasant, and with a "can do" approach. More

We stayed in this hotel while adopting our daughter. Rooms are clean and similar to what you would find in a strong 3 star hotel in the US. The Business Center has computers w/internet access: about $1.30 (US) for 10 minutes. In room high speed worked well and cost nearly nothing/day. ATM available in lobby - no problem using US... More

The Holiday-Inn Yangtze served well for our short stay in Chongqing. The main thing going for it is its reasonable price, as found on the hotel website. The beds and bathrooms were clean and well appointed. The overall decor of the hotel seemed a little dated, but not run down. Though not in the center of the Chonqing action (on... More

We arrived at the Holiday Inn Chongqing after 2 weeks in Tibet. Four members of our party promptly ordered burgers at the bar but immediately after fell ill. The next morning another member of our party ate at the breakfast buffet before boarding a Yangtze river boat cruise and immediately fell ill. Five out of eight members of our party... More

We have been living at the Holiday Inn for the past three months with our 10 year old and have never found any problems. Staff are very helpful and friendly. It is good for children as the pool is clean and safe, the food is good and breakfast is great. During this time we have had a number of usual... More

Chongqing is not a particularly nice city. It's extremely hot during the summer -- it's one of the "fire cities" together with Nanjing and Wuhan. It's very polluted as well. The Holiday Inn is a large and nice hotel and is highly recommended. The business centre is first class. The hotel is very close to the convention centre, about 5... More
