this homestay is not so clean but has very beautiful garden and view, cheap also, i was enjoyed to stay there but the road is very bad i travelled by public transportation from Sempol to get this homestay and its only once every day, but fortunately the homestay's staff helped me to inform when the minibus pass the homestay. The outside front garden and the nice mountain/volcano view from the back, are the best features of this place. The room we (two people) stayed in for one night was basic but clean. The homestay is not clean, the rooms are old with few services and food (dinner and breakfast) are not so good. Anyway it is located in a nice coffee plantation and it is a compulsory place to stay if you want to have the trek to the Ijen lake at dawn (wonderful!) as the roads are very poor around it. More

Not a wonderful place, but it offers what backpackers are looking for: a cheap and convivial place where you can start the ascension of kawah Ijen from. Food and accomodations are basic, but ok. The showers got some pressure and temperature issues though. Surroundings are nice. A correct place, but only for 1 night. More
