This is my first time stayed at this hotel. This hotel is very famous around year 1980-1990. The hotel located at the center of menteng area which is luxury area in central Jakarta. The staff that I met is very nice and warm. The room is very cozy and comfort completed with bathtub in bathroom but unfortunately the lighting in the room is very inadequate. The breakfast menu in this hotel are very limited, even if you want an egg you have to order with extra charge. The taste was very average. You only have 2 choose breakfast with bread and Jam or breakfast with rice or porridge.

Stay here if you can! The staff were wonderful and willing to help with anything needed. Hotel is in a great neighborhood. Decor is vintage in the best way. I hope it never changes. It’s not the place to stay if you want western luxury, but if you want to be in a hotel with real people and a welcoming environment, stay here. I could not speak more highly. I loved my stay and will definitely stay here again when I come back to Jakarta.

In 1998 we stayed here for the first time and have been back a dozen times over the years. Though we experienced more fashionable and luxurious places in this town, Marco Polo keeps attracting us. Spacious rooms, convenient location, basic but tasty breakfast and the moderate pricing makes MP a very good package. The neigbourgood, Menting was always interesting and good for a stroll, but recent development has brought nice and interesting restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Staff is among the most attentive we met in Indonesia (and that is a real compliment, since staff in many places is attentive...!) Some features might need an update of some revitalization. But we love the place so, we do not mind.

The Marcopolo Hotel is situated in the diplomatic quarter of Jakarta and is an old style hotel that has been refurbished whilst retaining its original charm. The rooms are comfortable (I loved the bath) and scrupulously clean. The restaurant serves a wide variety of Indonesian specialities as well as Western food. I loved the avocado juice with a touch of chocolate. Prices are low and portions enormous. The front of house staff could not have been more helpful in getting taxis and suggesting places to visit. This was my second visit this year and I highly recommend this hotel.

Some people here complain about their old, shabby, tiring look. But I think this is what makes Marcopolo Hotel stands out. It's an old hotel that preserves its old design. Even though its old, I think it's pretty clean. Indeed the hotel also has this 'vintage' aroma that doesn't suit all visitors. It's different from modern hotels. I don't think it's bad and I don't complain about it. It's strategically located in Central Jakarta.

The hotel is in the centre of Jakarta Pusat. Near the famous hospital Rumah Sakit Bunda Menteng. The room is very big with small sofa and table in the middle. They have balcony with city view. Try room 612 for the view. The pool is very big with olympic size. I didn't try the breakfast there. The seven eleven store is just rught next to the hotel, banking atm in front of your door step. Price is good with the strategic locations. Authentic cuisine cafe is walking distance to ur door.

This hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance of the flea market in Jln. Surabaya. The staff speak English, are most helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. They will call a Grabcar for you which is cheaper than any other taxi company and it will arrive within minutes (you can also download the app to your phone). The rooms are clean and provided with slippers and toiletries. Rooms at the front tend to be noisy from a lot of night time traffic. Breakfast offers a good choice and the staff are polite and helpful. I plan to take a group to this hotel later in the year.

Rooms: Shabby, old, tiring look, and smell weird!! Price: So-so, around 505.000 per night. WiFi: Cannot connected at all! Food: Pricy and unreasonable! Staffs: Nice and polite enough. (this is the only reason I don't gave them 1 star.) PS: The water heater only can be used at 05:00 to 09:00 AM, and at night 17:00 to 21:00!!! OMG! This is trrible! I came back to the hotel at 10 o'clock at night, and the water was SO COLD!
