We got a "multiplex room" which they charged extra for additional 2 "beds" which are actually more like paddings. It has a kitchenette but no exhaust fan and the LPG cylinder ran out of gas after a few minutes of cooking. We asked for additional plates since they only provide for 2 persons and denied our request. We told housekeeping... More

Dawal beach resort is the only decent accommodation near Potipot Island. Typical rooms, typical resort but it is reasonably priced compared to nearby resorts. 1,600 per night for a standard room, a/c, clean T/B, nice bed is okay for me as compared to the 1,500 rates of other resorts in Candelaria. Surprisingly, the food in the restaurant is for the... More

The place is pretty average for me. typical rooms and bathrooms. I recommend for anyone to make sure they get the biggest house. It's newer which make it a bit more nicer than the old cottages they have. its about 10,000 pesos, which is about between 200-250 dollars but fits and sleeps about 10 people. They also have a newer... More

Nothing special. Air-conditioning is bad and noisy. Wifi is poor. The rooms need renovating.

This resort turned out to be a satisfying pathway to the famous "Potipot Island" in Candelaria, Zambales, Philippines. The Island embraces fine white sand, blue ocean water and wonderful live sea creatures, it was a haven experience for us friends seeking a different nature encounter in the North part of Luzon. We have book a 2-storey Air-conditioned House at the... More

I stayed here last week with mg wife and friends we find the place very nice and the staff are very courteous... although they are very strict when it come to their policy particularly the corkage fees... the rooms are nice, and food prices are affordable, the only down part is that the rooms in the pool areas are very... The staff strictly collect extra charges from guest who checked-out after 12 pm. You have a big resort, you should collect satisfied guest and not too eager on generating extra income. We occupied your Penthouse dual room last December 2011 and: The sliding door on your bathroom almost fell on us. Please fix it to stay in place. The Bathroom... More

I originally picked other resort (near to Dawal) but I was surprised that my Aunt already booked for a house in this resort. Take note, a house not a room. It was the nth time that we had a WHOLE family summer getaway after a long time. I can hardly remember the last before this one. We were so excited... More

It was another one of our adventure trips where we did not make prior arrangements. We were headed for Potipot Island and we found out that we needed to stay in another place since there was no actual accommodation in the island. At the end of the road, literally, we saw Dawal Beach Resort. It was decent-looking so we decided... More

My friends and I decided to go to Potipot Island, Candelaria, Zambales after an officemate shared photos of the place. There are other resorts that can serve as jump-off point to Potipot Island but we decided on Dawal Beach Resort since my friends used to always go there when they were younger. July is typically off-peak season for beach resorts... More
