I did not have big expectations about the Aqueen Hotel Balestier. I was, however, very disappointed about the smell of cigarette smoke in our room. I was told that the room was on a non-smoking floor, and I read somewhere that hotel management imposed some sort of "penalty" for guests who smoked in the room. Apparently, the guest before me... This hotel offers rooms in the running for the title of Smallest Hotel Rooms in the World. The rooms here are so small that those with luggage will find that they need to put the suitcases into the bathroom first to be able to close the hotel room door upon arrival and departure. Then once the door is closed, you'll... More

There is a Bar/Cafe located in this hotel and the hospitality the staffs there are simply great. They offer free valuable advice on where to head and dine. Beers & Liquors are at affordable prices. Good job guys. More

This hotel offered very clean, modern rooms which despite their size were perfect for just a place to sleep after full days sightseeing in Singapore. As a family of 4 we needed to separate over two rooms on the same floor, sharing a queen bed in each room with a child each. Unfortunately they could only accommodate on a smoking... More

My friends and I were very disappointed with this hotel. The rooms were miniscule with the vanity in the bedroom. The toilet was virtually under the shower. There was no fridge in the room and we had trouble walking around the bed due to lack of space. The suitcase had to be left under the hand basis. No breakfast available... More

In the context of Singapore, this is a great place to stay. In a city where a name-brand hotel is upwards of $300, this place is a bargain. Your room will be so small that there isn't room enough for two, even in the "queen" room, which, by Western standards is just slightly wider than a cot with just inches... More

I stayed there 2 times last year traveling around Southeast Asia. The rooms are small but very clean, it's a great place if you just want a place to sleep and sightseeing all-day thru the city. The receptionists are friendly and helpful There is a subway station nearby (10 minutes walk) More

The standard queen rooms are very very small in Aqueen hotel in Balestier. There is hardly any space to move around or store your luggage. Eventhough the shower and bathroom are very clean but can be described as "It finishes as soon as it starts." The only one female asian receptionist is very rude, all the rest of the staff... More

We have chosen this hotel due to the reviews on Tripadvisor and we are glad we did. We got to Singapore by train from Kuala Lumpur at 6.00 am and around that time we also got into hotel, in spite of checking in policy which I think allows customers to check in, in afternoon time, we got our room strait...
