Positively, this hostel is in a great location, easily found and everything is nearby, within walking distance. The bed sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were good to give a map and info about the city/sights. Also they have a foosball table and a pool table and a table tennis table. Plus an area to watch... More

I stayed here for one week with a friend. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. There were some really lovely staff members! The location was great and I had a good time here. More

I did not have a great experience in Che Legarto. This began by the fact that the airport transfer we had arranged with the hostel was 2 and a half hours late to pick us up from the airport. (not ideal when you have just come off a 9 hour flight). After staying in another hostel in Santiago I realised... More

So many better choices for the same price! My boyfriend and I stayed at Che Lagarto for 3 night in an ensuite room. The breakfast was poor, the Cleanliness was terrible, and the elevator was not working properly (and we were at 9ºfloor!!!). The positive point is that you get to meet a lot of others travellers, and the location... More

I stayed at the Che Largarto in Santiago, Chile for 9 days in November 2011. I love this place. It is a block from the metro, right in the middle of downtown and is converted from an old hotel. It does need some work (the bathrooms are old, they are fixing part of the floor near the pool table)...but it... More

The staff is super-nice and helpful, but I didn't like the hostel so much, because I felt more like in a hotel. The rooms are spread over 5 floors and do not get WiFi. They seemd very clean though. Too meet other travels, I would rather chose another place. More

Positives - people in reception had some English and very helpful when at all possible, the location is very good, the hostel cooks dinner everynight and you can sign up to have this - great way to meet other travellers. They offer a free breakfast which was very nice - choice of cereals, breads, cakes, fruit, juices and tea/ coffee.... More

The best thing in this hostel is that it`s greatly located. The staff is really nice too. Unforttunately it`s got a lot of problems: cold rooms at night, cold water in the shower, bad functioning elevator, no wifi in the rooms. Also in 7 nights the room wasn`t clean any time and we heard that two girls from another room... More

I had stayed in a few Che Lagarto hostels in south America but the one in Santiago offers the best of everything: Value for money, comfortable, cleanliness and good location. This is one of the decent hostel for backpackers or travelers looking for best value accommodation around Santiago town. The staffs are friendly and they allowed me to change my... More
