Our stay at the Eugenia was absolutely wonderful. When I stay in a hotel, if the rooms are perfect but the staff is impartial or rude, well, I'd rather not stay there. At Eugenia, the actual rooms are bit older, perhaps a little worn - but the staff is so wonderful that it made up for the room. The building... More

Good- • The décor of the hotel is beautiful! I feel like I’m more in Paris than in Quito. • Brian, who is at the Front Desk during the day, speaks excellent English! He should – he just moved to Quito after living in New Jersey, USA, for 20+ years. As a traveling American, I can’t tell you how comforting... More

A charming hotel with old world character. Includes breakfast in a sunny indoor room. Polite and helpful staff. A great value for the money. More

I stayed at this hotel in February, 2010 and really enjoyed it. The location is very good, within walking distance of many Mariscal District restaurants. The rooms are small, but clean and it has a nice colonial feel to it. It reminded me of hotels I stayed at all over Europe. It is a very good price for a 3... More

this is a nice hotel, but a bit strange. There is no food served on Sundays, and the area is a bit sketchy for night travel. The front desk was very helpful, but the maid service was also a bit strange as they threw away my contact lens case. They were very helpful when asked and bought me another box... More

I arrived in Quito sick, tired, dirty and hungry after a month of intensive classes in Ecuador. To my delight the Eugenia Hotel was spotlessly clean, warm and lovely with plenty of hot water. The staff's response to this overwhelmed American was warm and efficient. I really appreciated that! They really couldn't have been better. I also enjoyed the quiet neighborhood... More

We ( my husband, 3 teenage sons and I) stayed here for one night at the beginning our our trip to Ecuador and again the last night at the end of our week. The management allowed us to extend our checkout time until 8pm (for a fee equal to a half day) since we had a midnight flight out of... More

A nice small hotel in a quiet location a few blocks away from La Zona. It's just a couple of blocks to the EcoVia bus line that provides a quick transport to the centre of Quito. There are several restaurants nearby and if you really want to go to the Mariscal it is about a 10 minute walk. The rooms... More

Frankly, I was a little amazed by the staff at Eugenia Hotel in Quito. They went above and beyond in absolutely every way. I actually stayed there two different nights as a stopover to and from Galapagos... The staff is not just friendly, they are accommodating for just about any request, to the point that I ended up asking myself... More
