I have stayed at this hotel three times and fall in love with it more each time. The public areas and the garden are beautiful. Visit them, have a drink, maybe dinner but do not stay here. The rooms have lovely furnishings with a small double bed and no soundproofing at all. This hotel is a converted home that once belonged to someone very important. The Mansion Alcazar is the name of the hotel. When we arrived our room was filled with rose petals. My daugher (18) and I (her mother 50) stayed at this hotel for three nights on a trip to South America. We loved this hotel, the personnel was very friendly and helpful; the food in the hotel was great; the rooms very clean and location within walking distance of downtown Cuenca. More
