We stayed twice, before and after visiting the Colca Canyon. Best to request room on top floor; very nice views of the city. Nice breakfast. Wi-fi works only in lobby. Also have 2 computers for guest usage. Very nice location--a couple of blocks from the Plaza de Armas and across the street from the Monestary de St. Catherine. We'd stay... More

This is a lovely looking hotel, very charming and full of character. The room had a slightly odd smell ( maybe a smoking room in the past?) but a great view over the little garden and over to the looming volcano ( this was a suprise as it was covered by mist when we got there so only noticed it... Stayed here 13th Oct after flying in from Lima and returned on the 15th Oct 2011 after staying at the Colca Canyon Lodge. Only a five minute walk to the town centre and opposite the monastery and a short walk to Chich restaurant ( see reviews in TAdvisor).Ground floor area very pretty and encompasses the old monastery walls.Breakfast was well... Lovely location opposite the convent and in the middle of everything and very pretty ground floor and garden. Good breakfast. However a hotel has to be all about a good nights sleep and a very lound nightclub nearby means if your room faces the back you wont get any sleep until 5am (we even tried earplugs). Shame and not the... More

Stayed here for my final four days in Peru and liked it. I found it to be a great location right across from the Santa Catalina Monastery and a quick walk down to the main square of Arequipa (Plaza de Armes) The price was a good value and the room , though not large, was clean and comfortable. My favorite part... More

The hotel is located right in the center of the city, in front of the Santa Catalina Monastery - for me the greater place to visit in the city. There are also great restaurants nearby, and you can go everywhere by foot. Breakfast is very good, rooms are clean and the rates are fair. The only problem is that the... More

This place looks nice, is well situated, has a decent breakfast, good showers, comfortable beds, an elevator, wi-fi and yet half of its rooms face a nightclub a few blocks away that starts thumping around 10 pm and doesn't stop until 4, 5, or 6am depending on the night. We started there on a Thursday and the first night there... More

San Agustin Posada del Monasterio in Arequipa is a lovely hotel. Our room was clean and fresh looking. The courtyard and the building is beautiful. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was one of the best on my South American trip, a bit of everything and plenty of it. There are also 2 computer terminals for internet... More

I asked the desk staff if I could change rooms as the room I had been given had very little privacy. The window of the room faced onto the glass fronted elevator and it was possible for all those using the elevator to see directly into the room, with the bed just in front of the window. There were at... More

we arrived at this hotel at about 10.30 PM directly from the airport. although we had written confirmation which was verified as 100% accurate by the author/manager, the staff casually told us that there was no room available. not only were the staff oblivious to the concept that this was not how a business should be run, they did not...
