When I planned our vacation for 4 of us (friends), i gave my friends a choice between Hotel Monasterio and this hotel, as they are both well rated and only a block away. One of my friends Su, thought Monasterio looked a lil eerie ad requested that we stay in Casa Cartagena instead. So we did and that was such... More

We thought this hotel would be a good alternative to Monasterio, where we heard that the rooms were of uneven size and quality. It proved to be a good choice. We reserved a "balcony suite," although it was not really a suite. The rooms open to a beautiful courtyard with a fountain, and outside seating is available there for the... More

Dear guest, We really appreciate your excellent comment about our service and breakfast and for your recommendation about the light in our suites, we will work on this issue. About our pillows we have in the bed hypoallergenic ones because many people is allergic to feather but for our guests that prefer feather pillows we replace them immediately at the... More

Cusco is a tourist mecca like Venice and its central streets are lined with trinket shops, restaurants and bars - - sidewalks are clogged with locals selling souvenirs, tours and massages. It can all be a bit overwhelming - or exhilarating, depending on your mood. Fortunately, the entire area around Casa Cartagena is quiet and free of the hustle and... More

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with exceptional service. The hotel offers the feeling of a home away from home. It's stylish, personal and staff cater to your every need and more. Congratulations on achieving that special ambience that makes you not want to leave and leaves you wanting to come back for more. Copas Family (Australia) More

Few facilities can pull off Italian hip and colonial elegance. Casa Cartegena does. The sense of design purpose infiltrates almost every hospitality decision - ithe lights, bedding, spacious bathrooms, garden choices, outdoor enclaves and even includes the art of a scrumptious breakfast. Beautifully structured as a buffet within a country kitchen setting, the food, and not just the environment, stands... More

I just visited this amazing jewel in Cusco, located only 3 blocks from the Plaza de Armas, service is really nice, every day a cocktail offered by the mananger, courtyard is one of the nicest in Cusco town and rooms with balconies offered a lot of fresh air!! really different from the classic colonial buildings in Cusco. While this hotel is certainly first class in accommodation and service I was severely disturbed by their policy regarding visitors. Here I had this lovely $400. a night room with sofas, dining tables etc....yet they would not allow a visitor to my room! I was visiting in Cusco and had many friends that I would have like to entertain in... More
