My girlfriend and I stayed here 5 nights before and after our Machu Picchu hike. The staff was amazing and the hotel is beautiful but it has a few problems. First of all it's part of a private boys school and almost every night there was some kind of function involving lots of noise. And morning activities start early there... More

We originally were going to stay at the Don Bosco for 3 nights and ended up staying here a total of 8 nights. After our return from Machu Picchu and our return from Manu. The building is quite charming and nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable and we always had hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only... More

Due to a religious procession (don't come in Holy Week) the twon centre was closed off. No taxis (we, and several others tried about 30 between us) would take us on the lengthy detour. The hotel told us it was one block's walk - it was actually 1.2Km UPHILL. Killing - with bags at altitude. We were very grumpy and... More

We stayed at Don Bosco Hotel for three nights on our trip to Cuzco and Machu Picchu. Originally a part of the adjacent school, the rooms appear to be former classrooms converted into sleeping rooms. The building is really very charming - wooden creaky floors, very high ceilings, & lots of daylight to name a few positive attributes. A High... More

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are big and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is excellent. It is a little bit of climbing to the hotel but you can either take a cab or climb it very slowly. We highly recommend this... More

Hotel is decent. Rooms and hotel clean and confortable, however could use some updating. Location is ok, 5-10 walk up a hill from the main sqaure. You do not need a cab as it is safe to walk and reallly good exercise. The hotel is next to a school, so you do get an early wake up call. Room walls... More

The hotel is clean and our room was cosy. The hair dryer was missing but they'll provide it if you ask at the reception. The personnel was very polite and helpful. The location is convenient because it was ~200 m from the main square. During night there was some barking dogs that annoyed us. There is a school close to... More

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights when we first arrived from Montreal. We had made arrangements with the hotel to get picked up , the driver drove us straight to the hotel, which is located up the hill from the Plaza de Armas. The location is great and walking distance to the center of Cusco (after acclimatizing ).The... More

We loved this hotel. It's in great location in Cusco, just up the hill from the Plaza De Armas. The walk up the hill at times may not be convenient but we would jump in a trusty cab that would take us up for 3 soles (not worth the walk at all). The best thing about this hotel besides the... More

In addition to all the other reviews, Don Bosco is a surprising find. Great value for the price. We stayed here for our last two nights in Peru and the hike up the hill is worth it for the views from our room. High ceilings and windows allow for plenty of natural light. The staff are extra courteous. I recommend... More
