This hotel is a few blocks away from the main square. However, that is not necessarily a bad thing. It is quieter, it has its own central green space. It not too far from the train station and from the tourist sites. The bedrooms are a little simple for me but I can live with it. The best thing is... More

Great hotel for a comfortable stay in Cusco. Breakfast is Casa Andina Classic, so pretty much unmatched in Cusco for the price. What sets this hotel apart from the other Classics is the outdoor patio which is a great place to spend some free time. The uphill walk to the San Blas district might not be suited for everyone, but... More

We spent the last two days in Cusco in the San Blas hotel after a week in a hotel near the square. The room was comfortable and quiet if not compact. The bed was excellent as were all the beds (7 different beds in 5 hotels over three weeks) we slept in during our stay in Peru. No resturant on... More

I stayed here for several days during trip to Cusco and Machu Picchu. The hotel was located on the side of a steep hill in the historic San Blas neighborhood. The entrance was actually on the third floor, with stairs leading to lower levels. There were multiple lounges with balcony over looking the red tiled rooftops of the city. The... More

Very quaint and friendly environment. Clean, quiet and safe; and so close to central area and sites. Services rendered were top rate. I would recommend staying here but not advised for those with walking difficulties (many steps).

We stayed at this hotel for one night before and two nights after a 7 day trek in the mountains. The property is off the main roads, away from the tourist traffic which was a huge plus for me. Quiet, with interesting shopping and restaurants close by. The 15-20 minute walk to the main plaza was great acclimation for our... More

The hotel is quite removed from the main plaza of Cusco (the starting point for many tours, etc.), and the side roads that lead to it are narrow and could be dangerous at times if vehicles were driving as well. We requested a queen bed and arrived in the room to two singles, and were told there was nothing else... More

We had lovely rooms, lovely service. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience. The staff always greeted us cheerfully, helped with requests, etc. Even encouraged us to always drink enough water/coca tea. Breakfast was always hot and plentiful. Rooms clean and pleasant. Thanks!

Great experience! Nothing bad to say. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Close enough to walk to restaurants/sites. We had a great view. Nice bathrooms with large shower. Breakfast was adequate. I would stay here again and recommend for sure.

The only reason to stay here is probably the reason we did.....last minute. The hotel is too high and hard to walk to. There are no views and nothing charming about the inner courtyard. But, you wll sleep well becuase the beds are really comfortable. The place is clean but the breakfast is nothing to seak of. There are so... More

The hotel is a sprawling colonial building built around a sunny colonial stone courtyard, peacefully removed from Cusco’s fast pace – like a sophisticated country hotel in the city. Rooms offer superb distant views of Cusco’s tiled rooftops and surrounding mountains or of the handsome arcaded interior courtyard and ample terrace. Tucked away in the heart of the city’s most atmospheric neighborhood, San-Blas, the hotel has 4-wood-burning-chimneys, a rustic restaurant and bar, and delightful sitting areas. ... more   less
