We had 3D/2N program in Cumaceba Lodge and we enjoyed every moment. Lodge is rather rustic, but very suitable for a jungle - it is exotic to be couple of days without hot water and electricity in the bungalow. Would be perfect, if there were a swimming pool, however it is possible to refresh yourself with cold shower or even... More

I have gone to Cumaceba 3 times and have been extremely pleased with the experience. The lodging is not luxurious, with no air conditioning and only limited electricity from a generator in the evening (good for charging batteries), but it is certainly adequate. The program of activities is absolutely outstanding, and we have always had good guides. From canoe rides... More

My wife and I did the 3day/4night excursion. The over all experience of being in the jungle was very exciting, I would pass on this lodge in the future and goes else where If I where to do it again.. The guide we had was very knowledgable about the surroundings and animals but the lack of service provided by the... More

We went to Cumaceba back in November and the experience was absolutely amazing. This was without a doubt the best part of our three month trip through South America. Here's a breakdown of what we liked and what could have been better. Guide and Activities. This was the best part. Our guide, Christian, was easily the best guide we had... More

Upon arrival, my husband and I were given a key and pointed in the direction of our room. We had two single beds of differing heights and no shelf, dresser, desk or chair, so we stored our clothing on the floor. On our same tour a single kid was given a room with a double bed, a dresser, table and... More

I just returned from a 3 week trip to Peru with the final 4 days and 3 nights being spent at Cumaceba Lodge. I also did the 4 day 3 night Inca trail and the 2 experiences combined made for an unforgetable Peruvian adventure. The lodge staff picked us up from the airport in Iquitos and then drove a bunch... We checked a few agencies and lodges before we decided to go to the Piranha lodge (the cumaceba group has 3 lodges in that area). The main reason was that the lodge is located inside the National Park. The Cumaceba offered the best price for what we were looking for (double room with ensuite, maximum 4 people per guide). In... We booked this lodge through agency for 4 days and 3 nights. The tour guide is very friendly, informative and knowledgeable. He took care of our needs. The program for general activities is not very exciting and does not meet our expectation if you visit Amazon. It is boring at night after dinner. The lodge and facilities are poorly equipped.... The lodge Is elevated from the ground to protect it from the tropical climate and rains, as well as some animals. It's rustic, kept as clean as you can have it in the jungle. The kitchen runs on wood - as real as it gets! There's no electricity or power except at night when they turn the generator on. It's... More

We have been there in May 2012, two weeks after the Amazon river overflew and flooded. 1) Our agency called Cumaceba Lodge to know how was the situation and they guaranteed everything was okay, and they were ready to welcome us. 2) When we arrived, everything was dirty and damaged by the flooding. The "garden" was full of mud and... More

Dear Sirs First we regret not having met their expectations, but we regret but whoever does not have acquired adequate information about the place visited by the agency where they purchased the tour, Cumaceba Amazon Tours has 3 tourist establishments considered as Eco Lodges (NO RESORT) including the season of April and May 2 of them were inoperative, which visited...
