The Maya slept on stone beds. You can experience that to some degree here. The bed was really firm! The hotel is a bit out of the way but a closeby grocery is quite nice and handy. The restaurant in the hotel was okay but be prepared for a very leisurely dining experience. More

I have stayed any number of times at the Alicante. The rooms are clean and comfortable with AC. There is an indoor restaurant, but they have tables outside in a private courtyard with a small swimming pool. Go there for the complimentary breakfast.
