Stayed in the AC dorm. Worth the extra $3 or $4 to sleep well. Staff is relatively friendly, but I have stayed in friendlier hostels. Quiet hours at 11 pm is nice because everyone is afraid to go out in Managua, so they booze at the hostel. The back patio is a great place to work if you have a... More

the place is clean and most of the staff is helfpul. unfortunately they forget our reservation for the airport shuttle, so we had to get there in our own. they also seemed to have forgotten abour our room reservation, so we got a better room (very nice double room with private bath) for the first night. we definetely recommend the... Stayed with a group on two separate nights a week apart. It looks nice, offers free internet and filtered water. At night, though when the attendants leave, they close the doors and the temp goes up. It's impossible to sleep without waking up in sweat drenched sheets. I stayed in a dorm style room with 7 other people and none... More

Nice location, and good with a pool. Unfortunatly I stayed in the other place (they have to locations, just a block from eachother!) but I could have easily walk there, I was just to lacy. Nice garden with hammocks and sofas, tables and chairs. Ok kitchen, but very small frigde with hardly any freezer. Stayed in a privat room, for... More

We arrived after booking a private room and after checkin we were sent to the second building around the block. Hot there and had to take our packs up a skinny spiral staircase to a sauna like room. Basic with bunk bed, fan and tv. Bathroom was back downstairs. Fan worked well overnight but it was still so hot in... More

The worst hostel in history, the owner and staff are unfriendly and unhelpful with a large dash of weirdness, the rooms are stifling dog boxes, they lie about prices and charge u $5 extra to hangout and wait for your 1pm bus. You must pay in american dollars but they give you change in nicaragrian money at their exchange rate.... More

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that your stay with us was not as pleasant as it should have been. I'd like to take a moment to clarify a few things that are inaccurate/incorrect in your comments about the hostel: -Re. the $5 to stay after 1pm: Our checkout time is 12 noon, at which time guests not staying that night... I'm surprised to see so many bad reviews about this place. We stayed 3 nights and never had a problem with anything. The place was quiet and relaxing. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean. The staff were polite and helpful if we asked. (All info you needed to know was up on the wall so you didn't have to go... More

Stayed here for two nights and it was average. Room was small and located next to the pool area in the main house. There is suppose to be quiet hours but never regulated. The bed is the least bit comfortable for a couple considering there is a bed above you, bunk bed style. The mattress swallows you and due to... More

I have stayed in Nicaragua for over two years. Although I mainly live in León, about once a week I have meetings in Managua and I've learned to appreciate the services of the Managua Backpackers Inn. I have stayed in several other places before, but they generally cater to a different crowd: to Nicaraguan business travelers (who don't need internet/pool... More

Thank-you for providing your comments about the hostel. The hostel is located in a very good neighborhood with easy access to lots of the amenities that travelers are looking for. We also do take pride in keeping the hostel very clean throughout the day. We hope to see you back again soon! More

I made (and confirmed) a reservation for my first night in Managua after a late-night flight. Staff didn't have my reservation on file. I didn't explore the hostel at all (never even knew there was a pool) and staff didn't give info on check-in. Taxis/shuttles were extremely expensive. Were locked inside in the morning, and waited inside the gate while... More
