This place is just great! The owners are a young couple who are both sweet and attentive and make you feel like part of their family. I stayed here 2 nights. The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the centre and close to a couple of great bars with live music. A really nice place in a perfect location. really good breakfast and friendly stuff. the rooms are ether without windows or at the street which is not a problem but we stayed there during semana santa. anyway. i will come back there.

This is a beautiful hostel! I was shocked at how inexpensive this hostel cost for what it offers!! Great example of hostel living. El Hostal is a beautiful hostel with a nice courtyard to hang out in, clean rooms and bathroom with hot (warm) water. Breakfast was delicious and really showcased the typical Guatemalan cuisine. El Hostal has a ton of extra amenties such as cooking classes I wish we had more time to try out.
