The staff at the Hotel President was extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant at the hotel had come highly recommended, but was only open for breakfast. The extremely efficient receptionist directed us to the hotel across the street (Marinko) and even called ahead to tell them to expect us. We enjoyed a fabulous meal. Breakfast at the President was one... More

I stayed one night at the Hotel President during October 2008 whilst on a business trip to Croatia. We arrived at the hotel at about 8pm and was greeted by the one member of staff working who was on reception. The room was small and adequate although there was very little space on the desk for working due to a... More

Do not under any circumstances consider staying at this hotel. The outright 'cheek' of the management of this hotel to brand itself as 4 Star and charge €200 a night to stay here is nothing short of immoral. We spend 16 days travelling around Croatia and had a wonderful experience. We were on a varied budget, opting for reasonable self-catering... More

We arrived in Zadar without a booking and hoped to stay at the Adriana hotel for a two night stay. Sadly, upon arrival we were informed that is was booked out (the hotel looked amazing and I would defo recommed a stay there). However, we were directed towards the Presidents Hotel as an alternative as they had 'one room left'.... More

We were alerted by the reviews we had read. The hotel has been beautifully finished, and the staff are trying herd to be helpful. The downside is the expense ($1300Kna) in May,and 70kna for the carpark which we thought a bit steep. They tried the 'Visa machine is broken' trick on check in but we explained we had no access... Problem on my stay not previously experienced by reviewers -- credit card machine is broken and I had to pay in cash. Desk clerk at check-in said it had not been working "for a long time". Next morning desk clerk said repairman was coming that afternoon. He didn't show up so I had to make two trips to ATM to... More

The hotel is inconveniently located, outrageously overpriced and has a indifferent and/or hostile staff that seem to feel they're representing a Ritz, not a very pretentious Croatian B & B. We requested a sea-view room, but didn't receive one even though the hotel was empty. They encouraged us to have dinner in the hotel restaurant, and then charged us over... More

LUXURIOUS? well, Hotel President obviously does a good marketing, travel guides repeat the hotels' statements in the commercials: "pure luxury", but after spending one night there (we planned to stay 2 nights) I have to say: it is a very average hotel, rather 3 than 4 stars. Everything is ok and average, except for the prices. The rooms are ok,... More

Good hotel in a beautiful city. Though the hotel is removed from the city center, so are the others and the President is a better choice. it is very clean and confortable, and nicer than the Adriana Select, around the corner. More

We had a little troubke finding the hotel and when we arrived they had lost our booking even though I had an email confirmation from them. It did not matter as they had plenty of rooms available. The room was comfortable. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant that night. It suited us for a one night stay passing... More
