This hotel is a combination of soviet time and modern service. It is hard for me to assess this place. I spent every summer during my childhood at Crimea, the last time i have been here at 2007 and wanted to come back a lot. My parents have visited this hotel 2 years ago and hardly recommended it. I should... More

We stayed in Yalya inturist for 4 days (end of May 2012). Our trip was part of a 2 month roundtrip in Eastern Europe. We wanted to relax a couple of days (due to a long traveled distance), do some sightseeing. Also the pool was important, because our kids wanted to swim. The hotel is very big and has a... More

The reviews vary here but comparing the other Yalta hotels, this one is very good. Clean rooms, and each has a balcony, excellent breakfast, big swimming - pool with lots of activities, very good and clean beach, lots of places to eat. It takes around 15 min to get to Yalta promenade, the way back is around 25 min uphill... More

First I saw the pics guessed it's another monster form Soviet times with all its consequences. First time entered, even before entering, got that I was unfortunately right! I was met by parking person who told that for lefting car in the big parking in front of the hotel I have to pay 10 grivnas (8grivna = 1USD) for one... More

I've got mixed feelings about this hotel "no one chooses the famous Yalta for comfort or convenience. They stay for the novelty of checking in to a 2230 bed ex-Soviet behemoth" says lonely planet - but I can't see what the novelty is. Anyway, after being awake for some 30 hours getting to the Crimea I was quite relieved to... More

I was there during Yalta rally 2012. My idea about Yalta hotel was nice before my first day. Rooms are to small, bathroom is dirty with cold water. The worst service ever. Employees are arogant slow and very bad. Hotel rooms are about 40 years old without any rennovations... Tiny old TV's from 90's. We paid more than 140 eur... More

Too bad we do not have a good rating possibility. The hotel is the same as always. I was in the renovated floor of the hotel and they made an effort for the bathroom renovation. I will list the problems only. First no WIFI in the renovated part, a shame. second the shower head has been placed low so not... More

This used to be a dream destination for USSR dwellers for years. In fact, this was one of the few places where foreign tourists could experience supervised hospitality of soviet crimea. It is still a great destination for those who feel nostalgic. It could also be somewhat a cultural experience for foreign tourists. It could be fun to submerge yourself... More

I must admit upfront that this is not my type of hotel (too big, ugly and holiday resorty). I would happily have disliked it but my 2 night stay gave me very little to complain about except there aren't enough lifts. I wasn't at the hotel during the day but my room was a decent size, was quiet and had... More
