This hotel exudes nostalgia. The rooms iare in French Imperial style, with gilded lamps and bordeaux red bedspreads, against floral wallpaper and high ceilings. Le Metropole is a beautiful, welcoming and comfortable hotel in the middle of Alexandria. By far the best hotel we visited in Egypt. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. More

I stayed here for one night. Very different to more corporate hotels - had a real sense of old grandeur - perhaps a bit tired around the edges but it was still very memorable. When I stayed the demonstrations were camped directly outside the hotel - but I had no problems and if nothing else proved the hotel is 'central'... More
