Cheaper than the Ammata across the road, the rooms are clean and beds not too hard, although there is no computer available, wifi or TV;s in the room. We could only get 2 days (we went during new year festival, so we had to find alternative accommodation for the remainder of our stay in Luang Prabang. We did a bit... More

A very nice guesthouse. The rooms are well appointed with real wood flooring and wood paneling throughout. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. The bathroom is open plan with a good power shower. We paid $25 per night which was a little steep but it was a very nice place to stay. The staff were also... More

we stumbled upon this place because we didn't want to shell out $75 US at the place next door. so we walked 20 steps and were greeted with a welcome smile at this lovely family run guest house. the room was immaculate dark wood design. clean comfy bed and linens. decent bathroom and a good quiet AC. You can step... More

What a wonderful guesthouse. The owners are super friendly, the rooms was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the guesthouse is in a fantastic location. I would highly recommend the Ammata. More

Both the Rough Guide & The Lonely Planet refer to the Ammarta as a good value-for-money option but I think this is to damn it faint praise. Having arrived on spec, I stayed for 5 nights in a beautiful, teak-lined room which was wonderfully quiet & kept scrupulously clean. I found the propietor to be affable & helpful. As other... More

Nice spacious and clean rooms, with a very decent bathroom and located a block away from both the Mekong River and the main street it is located in a nice quiet area just 3 mins away walking distance from the centre of... My partner and I stayed here during a 4 week trip around Thailand, Laos and Cambodia and it was by far the best place we stayed, including more expensive places. We paid around USD30 per night I recall. The rooms are lovely dark polished wood with crisp white bedspread and towels, very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful,... More

Reasonably priced -30US a night. From the balcony you can discreetly watch the monks in the morning walk. Bathroom was good, no problem plumbing and plenty of hot water. Good food available from little restaurant across the road -Sikhoun Moung Fruit Shake - cheap and tasty Lao fare. Best dish for me was the ragoo Kai - stewed chicken with... More

Really nice clean place in a good quiet location off the main drag. Staff were very helpful. No restaurant or bar, just a good guesthouse. From the balcony you can watch the monks collecting alms. You can also see the dumb temporary (tourist) buddhists joining in..... More
