This is an upmarket hotel in an old converted rice warehouse. We went for a splurge, which was great, but it really wasn't all that luxurious for the price. I guess we were paying for authenticity. It did have a nice balcony that looked out on the Nam Khan River across the street, a really big bed and bathtub, and... More

These are actually 2 Luang Prabang hotels managed by the same outfit -they are directly opposite each other on the river and a boat can shuttle guests .The one in town is very nice and quite reasonably priced with good food and a central but quiet location.I visited a friend there but did not stay myself as had booked in... Plus it is next door to the best restaurant in Luang Prabang - Tamarind. Just returned after three nights at the Apsara. It was during shoulder season so Luang Prabang was very quiet and empty including the Apsara. The staff is very friendly and helpful in setting up day trips and transportation and had great tips for seeing the sunset... More

This was our second visit to The Apsara as we stayed there four years previous. We had an upstairs room in a building a couple of doors away from the main Hotel. The Room was of a fair size but the bathroom area was a little crammed. They do not provide extras like tea, coffee, fruit etc and the breakfast... More

The hotel is a conversion of a 1960s warehouse with generous room space and individual styling and balcony views over the Nam Khan. It is ideally situated away from the nightlife but only a short walk away. The staff were courteous and helpful and happy to oblige. Breakfast was good and so were snacks. Dinner was a touch expensive but... More

My fiance and I spent a week at the downstairs rooms of apsara hotel, we had a great stay. From the friendly staff to great room, we were not disappointed. The location is also great too, very huge bathroom and delicious food. The hotel has arrangements with tuktuk drivers which ensure you get a good deal on trips to the... More

What a disappointment. We had read such great things about the Apsara, but were shocked to see what our money bought. Having just paid $70/night for an outstanding hotel in Hanoi, we were amazed to find that $130 at the Apsara didn't buy us much (and in fact the room was of a lower standard). We rented bikes for $5,... More

We spent 4 nights here and loved every minute. We had an upstairs room overlooking the Nam Khan river with a tiny balcony but big enough to sit on and watch the world go by. The room was spacious ,and well eqipped with everything we needed including hair dryer and safe and very comfortable. There is also free wi-fi in... More

We've been here twice before and our third visit was just as good. We stayed seven nights which just about says it all. Rooms are chic and comfortable. Bathroom have lovely showers. The room price includes breakfast which is very memorable -warm lightly toasted baguettes, home made jams, Lao coffee and eggs if you want them. The service is first... More

We stayed at the Apsara for 4 nights in a standard upstairs room and we were very happy with our stay. The rooms were lovely and the breakfast that was included was delicious. The location was great as it only took 5 minutes to walk to the main street and markets. The staff were all very professional and helpful. The... More
