The hotel where I was staying couldn't accommodate me for an extra night so I moved here. For $10 more a night than the previous place, I got a room half the size and twice as dirty. The stairs at this place are dangerously slippery - avoid for that reason alone. The balcony is nice for watching tak bat without... More

We have recently visited Luang Prabang (Jan/Feb '12), we didn't stay in the accomodation section, but several times we ate in the bakery. The first time the food and drinks was excellent, althought very expensive for Laos. The second time the service deteriated, the third time we said 'this is the last time!' The staff are miserable and the service... More

Advantage 1. Strategic location, nearby all attractions, travel agencies, grocerries, restaurants and even laundery. 2. Safety locker available at the counter. Helpful staffs. 3. Beautiful balcony overlooking the road. Disadvantage 1. Small room. 2. Not so good restaurant service, complimentary breakfast given but average quality. More

We loved to sit on the terrace watching daily life go by in Luang Prabang. It is located conveniently at one end of the night market. The prices at the guest house are a bit more expensive then in similar places. Service was a bit slow and when one order was taking wrong our dinner arrived 45 minutes after we... More

my wife and i booked for 5 nights and this place spoilt our Luang Prabang holiday. the room is small and there is barely enough space to put your luggage, but the worst part was the surly staff, which includes the owners (brother and sister or husband and wife). although we are in our 70's when they showed us our... The central location is the main draw here; I bagged one of the front rooms with a great balcony overlooking the main street, which was a great place from which to people watch. Very close to the night market and you can see some of the monk's procession from the balcony. It doesn't seem to be a bakery at all,... More

We had reserved 3 nights, but left after 1. From the very beginning, the surly staff left us standing on the sidewalk with our suitcases, and we had to struggle through the restaurant on our own, to the reception desk. The miniscule room was overpriced, aircon dripped on my sister's head in bed when it worked at all, the bathroom... More

I would love to spend the time on the deails but the long and short of it was, I chose this place because it had free wifi. The original plan was to get a few drinks, dinner and upload my pictures to the internet. I found that the "Free Wifi" sign as well as the "2 for 1 BeerLao" sign... More
