Didn't have much interaction with staff to comment on service but the guesthouse is clean and the rooms are spacious. One day we were in our room when it was cleaning time so they couldn't d it but they had the courtesy to knock on the door and bring us fresh towels. The ac works well too. They let us... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Hoxieng Guesthouse 1 across the road from Hoxieng 2. Apparently 1 is cheaper than 2. We took an upstairs room on the first night and had to pay 140,000 kip because we had secured the room via booking.com. The additional nights we stayed were 110,000 kip and then 100,000 kip in a down stairs... More

We stayed two nights and had no complaints. It is more expensive than most places on the same street, but was a cut above the competition in cleanliness and newness. Beds and AC were excellent. Bathroom was better than average, towels were new and fluffy. Low season rate was 180000 Kip for a two bed room with AC.

My husband and I stayed at Hoxieng 1 for four nights. It was a very nice and spacious room. They gave us a triple with a balcony because we were some of the only people staying there. The room was very clean. Te only downside was that the bathroom smelt a little musty (common in SE Asia it seems). Some... More

We chose this place by random, having arrived by bus into Luang Prabang at 5am - this place looked quite nice from the outside and was one of the few places that had a staff member standing out front so early in the morning. The room was clean, bed comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. It is only about 30... More

From what I could tell after being in Luang Prabang, every hotel in the city is in a good location, and Hoxieng 1 and 2 were no exceptions. I stayed at 1, and it was down the street from massages, the night market, restaurants, shopping, bakeries, everything we needed and wanted to see. The staff were friendly though English was... More

We enjoyed our stay at Hoxieng 1 (Hoxieng 2 is across the road and a little more money). We were travelling on a budget as LP is expensive this was good value considering the location. The staff were friendly but they didn't speak much English. The air-conditioning worked well. There was a water cooler downstairs that you could use as... More

I stayed for 11 nights in total at the HoXieng 2 Guesthouse. It's good value for $30 a night in relatively expensive Luang Prabang, and like a small boutique hotel. The floors are dark wood rather than cold tile, and the staircase and walls were wood too. The location was great, down a side street running between the Mekong road... More

We stayed at Hoxieng 2 for one night as everywhere else was full/out of our price range. We had a big room, very clean, air con, tv, lots of fluffy towels - it was almost like a proper hotel room!. But the next morning we checked into a guesthouse a few doors down which was identical and $10 less. So... More

We landed in Luang Prabang the day before Christmas with no booking, we were a little concerned if finding accommodation as we were travelling with our two teenagers. As luck would have it we went to Hoxieng 2 (on the Joma alleyway) and they had two rooms available but only for one night. We had stayed there the year before... More
